I have two old FIC "GIO-VT" Socket 3 mainboards, both of them with a broken Winbond W83757AF Super-IO (no Floppy interface).
This chip seems to be hard to find these days. It´s on many Super-I/O ISA-cards, but it would be a pity to sacrifice two of these cards that are probably more expensive today than the GIO-VT.
I wonder if there´s some (pin compatible) equivalent for this chip (like some later Winbond I/O chip) that´s still available today?
I also cannot find out what the second chip (W83758P) is for. The 757AF seems to provide everything you need like 2 x COM, 1 x LPT, Floppy, IDE and Game Port.
There´s also an additional Promise "PDC20230C" (VLB-?) IDE controller on this mainboard.
