Hi there, both for ceramic and SMD plastic package processors by intel. Specifically late ones at 33MHz.
Any luck overclocking these to 40MHz?
Cheers,

I recently got a dx40 system, that had been running like that for +20 years. Assuming it was an AMD, I was surprised to find an Intel dx33 on board. And yes, bios reported 40 mhz and the oscillator was an 80 mhz, so it wasn't only a misconfigured display 😀
Please use the "quote" option if asking questions to what I write - it will really up the chances of me noticing 😀

Some of the very late 386SX chips were easy to overclock to 40mhz (I had a 40mhz PCCHIPS board with a sticker and underneath the window dressing was an sx16)
If later 386sx chips would overclock no doubt the dx varients could too.
Also vaguely remember a few dx40’s being overclocked to 50/55mhz
Only way to know would be to test it out, early chips usually overclocked poorly and motherboards usually didn’t overclock very well
