Regarding https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/asus-a7a266-rev.-1.10 page the fastest possible CPU on this motherboard is the Athlon XP 2600+ (Thoroughbred), but is
it a better choice to use the 2500+ (Barton) as the core is newer and the frequency is almost the same?

Any suggestions would be very welcome!

PS: Got the whole system with 1900+ Palomino and a lot of extension cards for 25€ 😉
