Hello!
I want to upgrade the RAM on a Intel VC820 Motherboard.
The cheapest I can find locally is a 2x256MB/8 kit of 1066-32P non-ECC.
I know that this kit will be downclocked to 800 on this mobo, but is it compatible?
I don't want to buy that kit to find out that its incompatible...

Thanks!

Memory speeds are like roadsigns: they indicate the maximum speed something is rated safe at. Exceed that speed and you might crash. Go slower and... unlike on the road where the person behind you might start flashing his lights at you, nothing untoward happens, it just runs at the speed you run it at.
