Some years ago I rebuilt a system I had in the mid-'90s based around an ASUS PVI486SP3 mobo and an AMD 5x86 160 (133, upclocked). To keep the nostalgia complete, I made the mistake of using a SCSI controller and a spinning disk for storage, as I had earlier. I thought I would be running Windows 95, as I did on the old box, but I am not.

I want to get an flash-based IDE device connected to the on-board IDE connector and move my SCSI data over, and remove SCSI from the box.

What is the best device to bridge the board IDE to (hopefully) and SD or microSD card? I appreciate the info.

I would just go with a CompactFlash set up. They are natively compatible with IDE, so all you need is a basic CF->IDE adapter.

Pentium 4 Multi-OS Build
486 DX4-100 with 6 sound cards
486 DX-33 with 5 sound cards

Thanks. eBay, or is there a shop selling the adapter with slot backplate mount?
