Apparently it's a known issue that P2B-DS before rev. 1.06 doesn't play well with ACPI. https://tipperlinne.com/p2bmod.htm unfortunately has this on the "to-do list", so not very likely it will show up there any time soon?

Other threads here on vogons mention, that there is a fix for it, which ASUS used to perform on warranty.

But does anybody have a list, screenshots, etc. of what should be done?

I'm not afraid of breaking out the soldering iron - it's what I do for a living 😉
