Technically I managed to get paid 10 RON (probably $2 I think? idk at this moment) for the case (a Linkworld case, I think I have a snippet of their ATX catalogs so I'll link the case model later maybe) by a local trashpicking gypsy who came by as I was dismantling the PC.

Told him he could have it for 10 RON (the price of 2x 0.5L energy drinks in my neighborhood) along with the floppy and CDROM drive (an boring LG drive of ehich I already have too many). He didn't even haggle or anything, gave me the money and thanked me dearly, and we both went on our ways.

As for the machine itself, aside from the PSU being ever-so-slightly weak (no way it does 450W, but it'll do 250W just fine from a visual inspection of components used.) the rest of the unit seems to have been used for topography.

Bought and or found again:
- MS InPort mouse, with both RS232 and PS/2. I guess this is what our family had in the early 90's.
- 4x128MB RDIMM ECC
- LP Quadro NVS 280 2x VGA dongle
- The box for Soltek SL-02A++. I gues the jumpers will need to be documented
- As I remembered, the box contained a PGA370 slotket, which seems very generic (this does not support Copperime).
And bought (50e total):
- Club3D 7600GT AGP, needs a few new caps
- Radeon 9000 pro 64MB
- Matrox Mystique MGA with 2+2MB ram
- Audigy 2 zs (SB0350)
- Toshiba PA7224E -> I guess I'll make a post of this at some point - no clue if it's any useful
- DIN-keyboard
- Some PCIe GPU's
- Plus a little of this and that

Been a couple days now and I'm still a bit stunned.

When this arrives and I get my hands on it, I'm pretty sure that I will be uploading the first pictures of this card that have ever been posted online (aside from a tiny picture in a 30 year old advertisement). And yes, this is pretty much all that was visible in any of the pictures... but it was enough.

Good try! But, it's not an ATi Stereo F\X, or an ATi card at all. I have one of those, and there are lots of pictures of them online (as well as drivers).

The things that stood out to me are the location of the volume wheel, the port that looks too small for a gameport and the very familiar (for this brand) sticker on the back side of that port. The location of capacitors compared to a board-layout pic online confirmed it without having to see the rest.

Also, I gave the seller a little bit more than our agreed upon price if he could wrap the long cards and he said it'd be no problem.

Should be okay though. Old cards like these have a much higher survival rate than newer ones. As it is, even if it's only the back 3 inches of the card and the rest is torn off I believe it will still be the only photos of that much of the card since it was released. Granted, there may be pictures on a non-english speaking site and they just never come up in Google searches.

I want someone to figure it out though. The detective work was actually a lot of fun. 😁

While I'm still trying to figure out... I'd hazard a guess on it being a Turtle Beach card, and that port *might* be a DB9 styled MIDI port. Not having great luck but so far I didn't encounter any other brands to use DB9 for MIDI... I could very well be wrong 🤣

Bought a Zenith Data Systems Z-Note 325Lc bundle (equipped with an AAUI NIC, a cable for the 8-pin mystery port, docking station/port replicator, detachable trackball mouse, documentation, charger, and the laptop itself with a failing 120MB HDD). My plan for the Zenith laptop is to attempt to archive the original drive and attempt to make an image of it so I can burn it to a CF card of 512MB or a 2GB SD card (SD2IDE) with XUB on a diskette.

You might want to check to make sure nothing in there (especially the display) is in need of recapping. Is that an active matrix display?
