Hi, I recently recovered a couple of old family computers from my childhood and have been cleaning them up. The current machine I'm working on is an HP Pavilion 7360 (D3932A) that has a Pentium MMX 200.

This era of PCs isn't really one I have a ton of knowledge on so I have a few questions I was hoping someone could help me with.

First, I took a look at the motherboard and really can't find much info on it. The model is AA 665095-502 (651187-005 on the back of the board) which is a 430HX that uses a riser for pci/isa.

Does having more than 64MB of ram with the 430HX negatively affect performance?

Will the jumpers on this board let me do any worthwhile overclocking?

Is it worth looking into a PCI video card or is the onboard ViRGE S3 good enough? I was getting decent FPS in Blood but RCT2 was unplayable. I think that's a cpu limitation tho.

Thanks!

Installing more than 128MiB can affect the performance in Win9x. S3 Trio/ViRGE is a very good choice for DOS gaming. As for the overclocking, in my opinion it doesn’t worth the risk.
