Hey folks,
today I want to show you my final system configuration as well as benchmark results. Maybe it could be helpful for others who like the P55T2P4.
HW-SETUP:
Asus P/I-P55T2P4 Rev. 3.10 (3.2V OK) - FSB @83MHz
AMD-K6-III/450AFX @500MHz/2.4V
4x128MB EDO RAM 60ns
MATROX Mystique MGA-1064SG-D 4MB
Diamond Monster 2 8MB
DELOCK 91620 - CF to IDE
OS:
Windows 98 SE
CPU SETTING:
The multiplier is set to 2 and is perceived as 6.
Clock: 6x83MhZ = 498MHz
Default Vcore at 2.2V, but overclocked the CPU only runs stable at 2.4V.
BIOS SETTINGS:
BIOS Version: #207 BETA 2
Some sources said that a disabled external cache in combination with the CPU's integrated L2 cache would be faster. But I have noticed slightly less performance.
DRAM runs stable with lowest timings and activated <DRAM Speculative Leadoff>
I also have problems with the USB 1.1 header that is activated during the boot process. When USB devices are connected to the header, the system resets after the bios boot. However, when the devices are connected after booting Windows 98, everything works fine. I found out that the problems are caused by the AMD K6-III. If P166MMX is used instead, the system does not reset.
.......to be continued
Boot Up or Shut Up!
