As the title says. It doesn't seem to be online anymore. Does anyone know of a mirror of it?

Modern browsers block FTP access by default.

Try using a dedicated FTP client like FileZilla.

I would guess that it's either an issue with the peering link your ISP is trying to use or maybe the ftp server's host is blocking an IP range that happens to include your current IP address (i.e. someone with an address in that range did something the hosting service didn't like so they blackholed the entire range).

Good point, but If the client application being used works with other FTP sites, it's likely not that.

+1 to FileZilla either way.

Something is definitely not OK with this ftp, browsing is OK but downloading happens at dial-up speed with constant failures after aprox. 1'.

@AngelaTheSephira if you only want a specific file, try some client that will automatically reconnect and resume.

It's not fast, but it is working for me .

Windows File Manager on Windows 10 blocks FTP even though it has a client for it?

As far as the others have said, I'll try FileZilla but it didn't work last time I tried this about two years ago either.

Never mind, Dolphin seems to be fine with it. I wonder if my ISP is blocking it themselves.

Cool, authentically retro 🤣 ... but seriously that used to happen all the time when ftp sites had too many connections, even on a university T1 line your downloads would be ticking over at 4-5kB per second.

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

I'm probably going to mirror it so people like me can actually make use of it. I'll let you guys know when it's mirrored, but given the immense speeds of a whopping 9 KiB/s/file, it will probably be a LONG time. Should I mirror the BBS folder too, or is there big legal trouble with that one? I doubt anyone would complain about drivers, but I'm not sure what all is in the BBS folder.

I have just installed FileZilla on my home server and accessed it using SSH X11 forwarding:
On the home internet, the server is completely nonresponsive. On my hotspot in my car, it's fine.

For some reason, my ISP is blocking that IP. I wonder why, or if they even know it's being blocked.

If you are behind a Carrier-Grade NAT some simple implementations (without ALG) break, among other, the FTP protocol. I wouldn't expect an ISP using such a thing nowadays but who knows... Can you connect to other FTPs?

Depending where you live this might be more of a political issue than technical one. Food for thought.

Cool!
It was a pain to download from there as their ftp allows downloading only one file at once (IIRC).

I'm getting 3 files at once, mostly at 9.8KB/s.Any more than that and I get frequent errors. Have removed about 1 GB from the queue that I view as irrelevant or large files I have elsewhere (I need a 12 TB drive for my mirrors!)

See my graphics card database at www.gpuzoo.com
Constantly being worked on. Feel free to message me with any corrections or details of cards you would like me to research and add.

My hotspot is a CG-NAT, but my home Internet isn't.

Nah, I can access both Russian and Ukranian sites just fine. Unless the FTP server itself is blocking it...
