Benchmarks at the same freq. are always the most interesting in my opinion. 300 MHz is a nice round number and you should be able to get some P233MMX results at 300 MHz as well. As far as I recall, the Cx6x86MX is the same as the MII, so not having the 6x86MX isn't a loss.

I mostly agree to you, but the previous round up showed that the 6x86MX (rated at v2.7 or 2.9) has higher performance than the v2.2 counpterparts, the difference is almost 3 fps in quake at 320.

You could be right. To be honest, I don't even remember starting this thread, so, so much for memory. Could you remind me where the charts are for that around up and what other benchmarks showed a benefit? There are some registers for the Cyrix 6x86MX or MII which may have been disabled in later versions that may need to be enabled to put them at parity.

Plan your life wisely, you'll be dead before you know it.

FIC PA-2013 2MB MVP3 is much faster than P5A ALi V 1.03 in DOS quake test. I have both board, tested with K6-2+ @ 600MHz 3 weeks ago. VIA MVP3 is a clear winner, even P5A overclocked to 115MHz FSB is still much slower than PA-2013 @100MHz FSB in Quake 1 test. My final ultimate socket 7 PC in box will go with PA-2013 MVP3 2MB Cache paired with Voodoo 2 SLi.

Thats interesting! But I am sure the P5A is faster in Windows? Need to take advantage of the ALi AGP utility 😁
Can your FIC overclock?

PA2013 2mb can’t overclock to FSB higher than 100MHz even motherboard manual indicate it can reach 112MHz or 124MHz, it can’t get work higher than 100MHz, won’t boot.

My AOpen AX59 Pro with MVP3 only works with 112MHz FSB, if I change the VIO Voltage Jumper to 3,48V. With the default 3.3V, I get heavy errors and corrupted datas.
