Hi guys,

Can somebody look at their FIC 486-PVT board and give me the value for the capacitor C18 circled in red that my board seems to be missing. I'd also like to know, what kind of EEPROM i should use for the bios thats also missing. Last time i used a 27SF512 on a 286 board and it works great. So would a SST27SF010 (128k x8, flash) work here?

FIC generally use 220µF or 470µF in this position, but according to the datasheet of the LM2576T more is better. Best compromise is 1000µF16V or if your CPU is a less powerhungry type, 470µF 25V.

EEPROM is 128K x 8 as printed on the mainboard. Any 128 KB Winbond or SST is perfect (like the common W29EE011-15).

Thanks man, i'll try a 1000µF16V as i have it in stock.
