Has anyone tried putting a 486 DX50 on a motherboard capable of 60/66 mhz FSB? Were you able to get the CPU to run at those speeds?

I once did some boot testing with the AMD DX40 and it did post @ 66Mhz. I never tried overclocking my DX50 as I have only one of them

Are you just curious to know whether or not it will work? Or are you considering building a machine with that kind of specification?
Considering the DX-50 is a relatively old chip, I wouldn't be 100% sure overclocking it would cause no harm to it. I'd rather overclock an AMD DX-40 as those are more common and the very first one I tried succeeded in posting at 66Mhz.
Edit:I think the very best Socket 3 to FSB overclock is the POD83 as it should work with a 1x multiplier 😉
