Hoping someone here can give some advice on troubleshooting...
I've tried this LAPC-I in two different PC's now, both are AT with a -5V rail on the PSU.
Basically, it seems at first that the right channel isn't working. I get nothing out of the red RCA jack and using the 3.5 stereo jack only gives the left channel as well (I've tried different speakers and headphones).
In addition, after using the card for a while the sound gets more and more muffled and distorted. It's like a component is heating up and causing a fault.
I've inspected the card visually but I can't see any broken traces, dodgy capacitors or anything else. None of the chips on the card get especially hot.
Card is set to default IRQ and IO address and I've definitely got no conflicts.
Can someone advise where I can start looking to try and diagnose the fault? Is there any common component on these that tends to fail?
