Hi again.
I was looking hard for an AT case for my planned 386 build, and finally I came up with not just one but two. As a very nice surprise, both came with a mobo in them, one with a 486, and the other with a Pentium socket 7.
So, now I have a nicely working Pentium board (its a PCchips, unfortunatelly) with an Intel MMX 233, and 128 MB RAM, and a second AT case, so I MUST build a pentium now, too... 😁
I have three immediate questions:
- Is this CPU (Intel MMX 233MHz) originally like that, or a fan is missing there?
- It has a USB header, an 8 pin one. Is this somehow compatible for the later 10 pin (9+1 blocked) type USB brackets?
- I have the PCI VGA cards below available on hand. I will most probably utilize this machine as a DOS/W95/W98 triple boot, with SCSI subsystem and a Yamaha OPL3 card, and play games for DOS and W9x (upto 1996). Which one do you suggest?
