So, I have received my free Pentium III system. I know it powers on, but haven't used it properly yet - am still waiting on my VGA cable.

It is a HP Vectra VLi8 DT.

Fitted with a CD-RW drive.

The back of the machine. It has a 10/100 ethernet card and a modem fitted. The motherboard has built-in audio and video, two PS/2 ports, two USB ports, two serial ports and a parallel port. It did come with both of the keys that operate the case lock, but they weren't pictured here.

Inside the beast - and it is notably less dusty than when I got it, although it still needs a proper blow-through! Note the Slot 1 Pentium III CPU. All of the caps look good, the power supply is a Delta unit, and I believe it has 196 MB of RAM. No idea about the hard drive yet (I know that drive is not stuck solid, at least) but I'd be surprised if it was more than 10 GB.

It came with this Tiny keyboard and the Microsoft IntelliMouse. The keyboard is impressively weighty, and has 4 programmable hotkeys as well as the multimedia keys that are unusual for a keyboard of its age - even a sleep key!
All in all, assuming it works perfectly, which I think it will, I'm delighted with this freebie.
