I can't, for the love of MPU-401, get my Terratec EWS64XL to play MIDI by using the DB60XG daughter board i installed into it.
What am i doing wrong?

I set MIDI to MIDI-1 (not Dream) in both control panel and setup. I also trued various different settings in the mixer...

Oh, in that case the MIDI-2 interface may have been disabled in the EEPROM settings. You should open the DOS config tool (called ews64cfg.exe if I recall correctly) and assign an I/O port address to the MIDI-2 interface (and optionally an IRQ if you want to use the MIDI-IN as well). After saving the settings to EEPROM, it should appear in Windows the next time you boot it up.

Oh! I knew there was something about that EEPROM thing 😀
OK! I will try that.

Yup! The MIDI-2 did not have an assigned IRQ and was set to OFF.
Now it works flawlessly 😊
I have set the levels so there is no noise. Too bad i can not use digital out for midi db.

Lol, Duke Nukem 3D music sounds 2x better in the EWS64 Media Player than in Cake Walk Demo 5.
