I noticed that when I install the Windows 98SE Unofficial Service Pack 3.34 after having installed Win98lite, the quick launch bar returns and Windows Explorer no longer contains the Win95 Explorer view or speed. I tried re-installing Win98lite, however this does not correct the settings. Has anyone figured out how to run Win98lite and the unofficial service packs?

I'm pretty sure I installed 98SE along with the unofficial update packs, then 98lite-- and I recall still having the fast super explorer.exe menus.

This was on a P4 system.

Perhaps installing the service pack after 98lite prevents it from being able to remove everything after?

I tried both orders of installation. The quick launch is still there and the Windows Explorer buttons are not the Win95 default buttons. So you are positive that you did not have the quick launch bar and the Win95 Windows Explorer buttons were the correct ones?
