I recently started ransacking my hardware, due to the forums here, and found 2 SCSI ISA adapter cards. I looked up the Chipset but found no actual card specs. If anyone has any ideas I am here to learn.

Chipset is a Databook DB86072.
2x 50 pin Connections
Part # or serial # = 47-0045-052E Rev A

Will get a pic if its needed. Thanks in advance.

Maybe I jumped the gun on the SCSI, it was the first impression i got when i saw them. I found no front ports to tie in with them. They are 50 pin IDE Type connections, which again pointed me to SCSI. Maybe these are out of an old Apple PC maybe??? I have no clue atm, but will test them out on a board when i get the chance and see.

If there's two such connectors right above one another, it likely goes with a 5¼" bay that would take PCMCIA cards. I have a few of those in a drawer at work. I'll see if I can take a pic or two tomorrow.

It doesnt contains a ROM on that board.. Booting from harddisk wont be possible.

It won't, because it is not SCSI controller either. Look for the chipset, it will point you to a PCMCIA controller. The connector arrangement also points you at that direction.

Just an idea, but It might be PNP card, so if you put it in a board, the BIOS might tell you what the name of the card is, during boot up:
"Initializing PNP cards: Sound Blaster AWE 64 Found..."

Did some browsing for a card reader with the 50 pin SCSI connection, all for around $200. Guess I need to do something with these things.
