Hi guys. I recently got hold of a CUV4X-DLS but it seems like I f**cked up this time and I ruined the plastic cover that slides in when you lift the socket lever. Because of this, the CPU that goes in socket 0 won't fit properly anymore and I thought of replacing with one from other 370 boards that are broken. Only problem I have is that.. I'm worried to cut traces/damage the socket even further since I have no experience in doing this.

Do any of you know whether if there is a safe way to do this with a flat head screwdriver or not? I just think having to throw a dual S370 board that was otherwise working perfectly is a complete waste..

Thanks everyone.

Take the lever in the vertical position and lift up slowly. the top of the socket ill pop off. Then you can put another socket slider on the socket, and don't forget to reinstall the socket lever vertically when you snap it back together.
