I read that I need win98 to listen sound on my Portege 3110CT. Can anyone confirm that? ESSTech audio.

I'm sorry for that. I try to configure sound on it with these drivers:
DOS only drivers for esstech pci soundcards
however, when I follow instructions for 19XX, I got Incorrect Resource Assignment. I have only DOS (7.1) installed.
Anybody have that issue solved with Toshiba laptops? I checked BIOS for settings, but there is nothing like that there.
