I found the perfect ATX case but it doesnt have any CD-ROM cover plates, or whatever you call them.

You can tell by the photos they aren't standard but that they are curved. I wouldnt mind a straight plate but you can see how the thin side isnt deep enough for a standard plate.

If you can help locate something please let me know.

The case has a hinged swing-out motherboard tray that is one-piece steel that includes the PCI/ISA slots and backplate.

I've had cases with curved fronts but straight covers so one thing doesn't necessarily imply the other. The most important thing is that they actually fit.

You can always chock it full of drives if you can't find appropriate blanks. 😜

Have you tried looking for other cases with similar covers? I have a case with curved covers and I thought I would never find a replacement for a missing one, but a busted PC at my dad's job, despite looking very different, used the same covers, so I just grabbed those. Remember that its more cost effective to re-use little things like bay covers and buttons, so manufacturers designed several different case models around a smaller set of components.

@alexanrs

Thanks, I have been looking for about a month with no luck so far 🙁

If I throw the case away today and it ends up in the land fill tomorrow, then two days later I will find the correct cover plates. However, if I keep the case then the correct cover plates atoms will spontaneously fly apart if I get anywhere near them hehe.

@emosun

Thanks for the info, I might make those work if I cannot find anything else.

Between me needing a bay cover and stumbling upon that busted case more than a year passed, so it can take a while. You can just make those generic covers work for now and replace them down the road if you eventually find the right ones.

I will definitely keep looking. I don't mind hunting down the big items but the small finishing touches aggravate me tremendously for some reason.

I'll take pictures of my curved bay covers. If they match yours, I'll also post a photo of both cases, so you can look after those as well.

Here you go!
I found out one of my NOS cases I got last week also uses curved bay covers, but with different dimensions. They have the same shape, though, so you could just hot-glue one of these to the case from the inside as a last resort. The two taller cases use the (same) shallower covers.

I have some universal curved beige cover plates which may be suitable. They also double as 5.25" to 3.5" bay converters. They're ventilated, but they should work quite nicely in your scenario. Will post some pictures in the next couple of days.
