Doom never died tbh :s
Ugh..... Bethesda again 😵
Knowing them this will very likely be on Steam, a big no-no for me. And the demo I saw doesn't sit well with me either.
Will just give it a pass (online DRM is where I draw the line 😒 ).
Ooohh, the pain......

Well, most of us appreciate John Romero's designs, but as was said: DOOM never left. With hundreds of awesome levels released yearly, I don't think it's such a big deal that "Romero himself" happened to release one level. 😀

Uh, did you click the link? This has nothing to do with Doom 4 or Bethesda. It's about John Romero releasing a level.
P.S. Admins - please merge with this thread:

I don't know what release Bethesda has made available on Steam, but the level actually requires ZDoom to run. Romero has never been employed by Bethesda as far as I know.

Yes I did. This is what I get:
Yes, I have Twitter blacklisted - and it's never coming out of that list, ever. And yes I goofed, but still stand by what I said. Happy? 😐

Well, it's probably gonna be released on GOG anyway, so no need to worry about Steam's DRM it that is what is puttiing you off.
DOOM isn't going to be on GOG, just like the new Wolfensteins. Also direct link to the map: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2x2ee3r51986dkt/e1m8b.zip?dl=0
Since I can :p here're two of my gameplays of that map (one running software/ms-dos/wavetable and the other running glide/Windows 98/esfm)

NO, it only requires a limit removing port
It can even run over vanilla doom.exe, but at some time, you'll end with visplane overflow
