I'm setting up a retro server and do not have a copy of windows server 2k, just pro and I wandering what's the windows 2000 max connections limit 2kpro? I believe it's 10 if your using IIS. But what about 3'rd party server apps like apache and what not?
Are that the 10 connections limit imposed on 3'rd party apps?

Basically I'm setting up a email/ftp/web server for fun and 10 connections is a little small 25-50 would be better.

At my previous job, they had this Win2k Pro station serving a shared folder. Pretty much the whole factory was reading and writing to said share folder (about 60 PCs). I migrated said operation to a 2003 server. XP that's when they limited it to 10 connections.

Install cygwin and samba server and you're unlimited.

(Need to disable all Windows Sharing Services and offer them over Cygwin's Samba Server)
