Today I found out that my Tyan Turbo motherboard actually supports, contrary to its manual and web page, all processors from the K6-2 and K6-III line (albeit at 66MHz FSB).
Ideally, I would directly go for a K6-2/400 or higher, and just run it at 6x66Mhz but a cheap one isn't available to me nearby. I did find a K6-2/300 however. I would think this should be a nice boost in 3D performance for my Voodoo 2 SLI system.. Is it a worthy upgrade? Can I rely on getting it and overclocking it to 6x66MHz? Or should I just hold off and wait for a good deal on a K6-400 or higher?
