Hi, over the past few days i've experienced lots of problems with sound in DOS and im just thinking of replacing my ASRock mainboard to one with ISA and simply putting an ISA soundcard in it. Has anyone tried this mainboard or perhaps an MSI MS-6551? It seems to have Socket 478 (P4), AGP 8x and both PCI and ISA. Seems too good to be true?

I want for example Duke Nukem 3D running in DOS with ISA sound but also Win 98 games like Commandos 3 with Geforce 3 acceleration.

I have one AIMB-742, but not tried it yet. A nice feature is that it has the ITE8888 PCI to ISA bridge that seems to be more compatible with Dos than the Windbond bridge than some industrial boards use.
Have also 3 MS-6551. Got them cheap two years ago on eBay, but not tried them either.

Any known gotchas or anything with these boards? Can i just plug in a ISA soundcard and go? Or does that PCI to ISA bridge require any workarounds?
