bought this for 10 bucks with sempron 2800 and cooler. because i thought this motherboard was the first gaming motherboard i had when i was very young. replaced 5 caps that were blown and when i turned it on.....i see the logo with the " deluxe" version.

the one i has was not deluxe. god damn it
even the boot screen is different with the one i had

so many memories from that time, geforce3, geforce4 ,radeon9800pro
half life2, and windows Xp

IMG-20180713-_WA0010.jpg

I actually have one too 😀

Mine came with a Sempron 2400 I think, and I replaced the caps then dropped in a Barton 2500+ OC'd to 3200+ along with a FX5600 from MSI.

Gotta run Error Scan without the "Quick scan" checkmarked, too. It'll take longer, but that way you'll be assured it actually has no bad sectors.

(4) VooDoo-3 PCI cards.
Not working. Probably bad caps.
But getting them working again is half the fun.

Could also be corrupted BIOSes or defective flash chips. Do they show up in a system using them as a secondary graphics adapter?

Robert B had a Voodoo4 with a corrupted BIOS he rescued.

I have NOT received them yet.
How would I go about getting a bios update or checking the flash ram ?
What is the app to flash the bios ?

There was a nice 17" Sun Microsystems branded (made by Samsung) LCD screen I spotted so I grabbed that to match a Sun machine that was rebranded by Xerox. Under windows at least it's handling 1280x1024 but it seems the auto adjust controls are locked out unless it's in DVI mode.

Then the real fun began. I grabbed a boxed copy of Diablo II and went up to the front to get the box opened so I could check it and look at an overpriced Atari 400 that was for sale but then my eyes glanced THIS on an upper shelf behind the counter for $100. I promptly forgot about Diablo II.

An Atari Portfolio with its box and documentation, a 524kb FLASH memory card (no batteries!) and the PC interface, again in the box.
PLUS there was a serial adapter stuffed into the lot as well. Wowza!

The boxes look sun faded, but man, everything inside looks museum quality. Very nice find and for $100 I would have grabbed it without a second thought.

is the gf256 ddr not from 2000? there are some reviews (days before the new year) mostly with preproduction cards, but it was not really on the market.

Corrected - thanks! SDR was 1999. DDR was Q1 2000.

I think ive finally found a board to use with my Tualatin 1400-S! I've not had much luck with Slot1 boards that can run at a 133mhz FSB. I have some VIA chipset boards but only have the one ISA slot. This cropped up and i was lucky to win it for a great price. At first i couldn't get it to post but eventually it kicked into life. First tried it with a 100mhz FSB CPU. Then i tried my 1400-S and it posted first time! Bonus is its Socket 370 BX Board!

Wrong, GeForce DDR were available in 1999. Mine were bought December 23rd and it's exactly the same you got.

The CT Geforce256 is just awesome.

I remember a buddy of mine buying the CT one and overclocking it... soon after in QuakeII deathmatch I heard him complaining about funky colors and then... it locked up.

He was stuck with vertical bars and bought a Voodoo3 later on. Back then it was brand new and I couldn't believe that he had just destroyed such a nice card, despite the warnings of having too small of a heatsink on it.

p.s.: he eventually managed to kill the voodoo3 with Diet Pepsi... some folks are just too good to be true.

Nice find. I remember buying the same card back in the day to upgrade the Maxtor G200 + Voodoo 2 combo in my PIII-600E rig. Performance was massively improved (I remember trying it in Soldier of Fortune first). Sadly the card didn't last long and died after a few years. I replaced it with an Elsa Gladiac 920 Geforce 3. Hope yours still works! 😎
