My Alpha streak continues. Aspen Systems Inc. Telluride motherboard, for Alpha AXP21064A CPUs, 7PCI/2ISA (1 shared), full AT size, can take single or dual AT power supply, has FDC but no HD controller. It's a pain to find information about it.

I would have snapped that up if I collected non x86 stuff still. Lovely board for a nice price from the most reliable source I know 😀

Yah, now I have to find a CPU for it. Because the only one I have that fits is:
1. Already in use
2. It's a WinNT-only CPU. Yes, there were Alpha CPUs that were only able to run NT, not Unix (have a cut-down memory management unit).

I/O, I/O,
It's off to disk I go,
With a bit and a byte
And a read and a write,

I finally HAS tEh joystick for my old PC that doesn't suck.

The CH Flightstick Pro.

My favorite X-Wing joystick from my all time favorite joystick company. It works great! It was covered in some yellow goo, but I cleaned it up with contact cleaner and alcohol. I might have to go inside though to make sure it's clean. There's a tiny incy bincy tiny little small next to none dead-zone, but it's not causing me a problem. This could be how it always was and I'm just used to my newer CH joysticks -- which don't have a dead-zone that I can perceive.

Edit:
And I own X-Wing. So everything is legal. 😀

Today's flea market find, I don't know how retro you all consider it to be but it is certainly an endangered species. Planning to replace the the 30GB toshiba drive with a Kingspec 120GB ZIF SSD.

Can you show a wider angle on that computer case with the dazzling red lights? Looks like an interesting case.

I might have to mod it a bit. But I think if I use 300-watt SFF power supply on top, I can slide part of the Baby AT SS7 mother board underneath.
It's a baby AT motherboard ( Soyo SY-5EHM ) very small.

All I need is the AGP and PCI slots.
That will give me An AGP and 2 PCi slots and 1 slot for the Serial / Parallel cable back plate.

Slot 1 - Voodoo-3 AGP
Slot 2 - Sound Blaster Live 5.1 PCI
Slot 3 - Network card - PCI
Slot-4 - Serial mouse / Parallel port back plate.

I could even fit the serial and parallel cables under the power supply with a custom cover.

I will have to make some custom back covers to cover up any cavities.

I know it is not going to fit as intended but it should work.

What do you think ?

The daszzing lights are from a Gotek Floppy emulator and a SD-to-IDE adapter -- which is behind the bay-screen-cover( which came from an old Antec tower.).

The case(computer) is an AT&T which I painted. It was one shade of light beige when I bought it. I painted the front drive area black and the case cover a darker beige. I prefer the many shades of beige for my older PCs. Even my thumb-usb-drive is beige. 😀

Too bad that search page doesn't cover anything older than SS7.

I got it for $25 used at a local computer shop. The only fan mount was for a single 120mm. Well that wouldn't do for using it for my current build (i7-4930k based, R9-390, etc.)

I ended up putting 2x 120mm intake fans in the side cover to blow cool air into the case where the video card is.
I also added 2x 180mm intake fans to the bottom of the case and made some extensions for the feet out of wood so that there was room to mount the bottom intake fans.
And the last thing I did was to replace the stock USB/FW port on the side of the case with USB3. I did have to modify the original cutout.

Not sure if I will ever change my main case now that I have this setup as it works really good.

I do have a full tower Lian Li (RocketFish branded) waiting for me when I go to visit family though. Picket it up off of Craigslist for $20 and had my sister go pick it up for me. I might switch to that and use this case for another build but not sure.
