This board feature universal agp slot but in the manual says agp 4x.
Its safe use older agp cards (3.3v)?
The VIA chipeset are good or still behind like the P3 era?
Also the Integrated VIA S3 ProSavage8 Graphics is just a savage 4?

Retro rig 1: Asus CUV4X, VIA c3 800, Voodoo Banshee (Diamond fusion) and SB32 ct3670.
Retro rig 2: Intel DX2 66, SB16 Ct1740 and Cirrus Logic VLB.

That's VIA 266A board, of course it's compatible.
For early Netburst, VIA chipsets are average at best.
Yes, it's Savage 4 chip. I think it's comparable to AGP Savage 4 LT.

Being a savage 4, chance to run MTALl api
About the VIA chipset, still have issues with pci lkie the p3 chipsets. The older ones never liked use pci soundcards.

So the onboard videos would be compatible with Metal api and good dos compatibility?
If possible i gonna use the on-board videos for Dos Dx7 or older stuff in win98 and my 6200 in winxp for dx8 and few dx9 games.
Just changing the vga order in the bios.

Metal - might be some problems, like with Savage 2000.
DOS - most likely yes, but in general S3 Virge is still better.
