I've just purchased on a decent price 40.00 € including shipping the ASUS A7V880 with an Athlon XP 3000+ and 512 MB RAM, but I didn't noticed that the SATA 1 port was broken and missing.

It is easy to use another sata socket from another board of the era? Unsolder it and solder it...

I selected this board because my Socket A rig was at first a Gigabyte GA-7DXR+ and my second one was with GA-7N400PRO2 and Athlon XP 3200+ which I gave it on 2009 to a friend of mine, but it burnt due to PSU failure.

So I want to test the KT880 to see how it performs.

If it's simply the comnector that's missing it should be as easy as soldering a new one on. Pictures help with remotely evaluating the situation btw. 😉
But wether that's an easy task depends mostly on your soldering skills.

I will not do it by my self! I have a friend which is doing such works for me.

I didn't received it yet, I've just saw it after the purchase.

I will post a picture when it arrives.
