How would you access the bios in a prolinea 4/33s ? none of the normal keys seem to do much.

the machine has no hdd. the keyboard works fine and it shows video and just tries to boot from floppy. I've read around a bit and other older compaqs seem to need a bios disk in order to get into it , any ideas on that?

You need the setup and utilities disk. Here is a link to the manual and a link to an old topic here with the files you need. And the F10 is the key you use to get into the Setup but that will not work since the HD is gone (the files reside on the HD or a floppy)

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun
