Does it matter if it is set to removable or fixed disk for DOS? This https://www.amazon.com/Verbatim-2GB-CompactFl … /dp/B00009967Y/ is the cheapest card I've found but apparently it's not a fixed disk? I just want to use compact flash instead of a HDD for the speed benefits, especially for Ultima VII. Okay, that's it I think. Thanks!

oh this is the adapter I ordered: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0026OYEEQ/

Okay, so I can pop it in as a second hard drive and move everything over to it no problem?

Sure. Are you planning on formatting it first or within this DOS PC? It should not matter but make sure FAT16 and max partition size of 2GB.

I was going to format it in the DOS PC and copy everything over to it with xcopy. Also, it's a 2gb card so the partition size is no problem.

EDIT Though I might just format it in the DOS PC and then use my Windows 98 machine to copy the old hard drive over for the sake of ease.
