I know it has been lots of discussions around Asus dying unexpectedly - but what happened to me its just weird.
I've bough Asus P5PE-VM and P4P800 SE from different sellers - both reported as working and turning on.
When I've tried them - no beep, no post - just CPU fan is spinning. Tried 3 different PSU (400W, 380W etc).
What the heck - I expected them to be possibly unstable or needing replacing capacitors, but since they do not even beep on start gives me suspicion that they are totally dead and not worth spending time to fix.
Any suggestions what could it be? Really died during transport - famous sudden death of Asus?
