BUT, I just bought a M2 Sata SSD => IDE (44 pin notebook) adapter off ebay. For about $10 uSD . arrived from china in 2 weeks and threw in a modern m2 ssd

Works perfect.

It is an active adapter using a Jmicron? chipset.

Since mSata is getting less popular and M2 Sata is gaining popularity... This is an option for people.
