Glad to hear you got it working. We're you able to clean off the corrosion from the battery leak?
Not sure how you got that working... but if you have the ribbon's red line pointed to pin 1 on your controller card... it's not currently pointing there on that HDD.
Pin 1 on many hard drives is often closest to the power molex. In your pic you've got the red line on the other side (the outer edge of the drive). That right there can cause all sorts of detection issues or no function at all.
