Great that you got your ZIPS all working Nexxen! The thing about the ZIP 250 drive now makes me wonder if my last one was actually dieing though the ZIP 100 disks it could not read still work perfect in my ZIP 100 drives...
wish I kept that drive now for further testing.
chris: love old audio, is my second bad boy hobby and very rewarding but also can get expensive if you go to far ;p

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Oh yeah that I know my dad and uncles and father in law are always researching surround system parts and what not. A friend of the family they have a business where they buy out estate sales from the families and sell everything. He sold me the receiver and speakers for 55 bucks. The projector was a fun purchase for my son's 6th birthday party since we couldn't go to the planetarium. We used the program world wide telescope and brought the planetarium home. The projector and surround equipment was worth every penny to do that for him.

Sounds like you made out very well and have a good connection ! Keep an eye out for the late 70's stereo systems from them. Those now go like early Amiga/Apple/etc and are so out there in price but you may get be able to get something extremely rare.

Yeah they come across good stuff most of the time. A few years back I got from them brand new in box Ryobi drill and impact fun with a full drill bit/nut driver set for 60 bucks

That is great ! Seriously: Keep an eye out for late for late 70's aluminum face Kenwood, Pioneer, etc. Hopefully they would cut you a good deal even if it is not what you are into those old stereos are worth their weight in silver !

That is great ! Sometime if you can PM some pics, am a big fan of old Stereo stuff except Marantz = Overpriced, super high THD/IMD for the power/year compared to Kenwood and Pioneer.
May daily shop driver is a Kenwood KA-701 + KT-7500 thru some old Yamaha 10" 3-way.

I'd like to benchmark the read/write speeds of the units. I know that scsi is way faster than parallel 😀
Is there any utility that does that?
