Cheers - got it all up and running now, had some corrosion round the battery so the keyboard didn’t work, after repairing lots of traces and vias and opening the stuck HDD up its now up and running and booting to windows 3.1, will stick some more pics up tomorrow

Excellent. Well done.

Nice. How much did that Combo Pak go for?
It was Wednesday, but just posting now. Managed to snag some stuff from two different places, just don't have pics of all of it yet. Got 2 5.25" drives AND an Epson SD-800, sealed copy of Chessmaster 2000, some 8" floppies, and other random stuff!
Picked this up from a local kijiji seller today for $60, it's an MSI 694D Pro with 2 Pentium 3 1ghz processors.
I think I'll load Win 2k on it later and have the PC I always wanted back then. I was running a Celeron 466 overclocked to 583mhz when 2k was my main OS.
Definitely check the caps on that board. When I got mine a few years ago, nearly every cap was bad 🙁 And notice the one between the pci slots. With my board the pcb marking was wrong for the cap and the polarity switched

Right now all of them pass a quick visual inspection, nice and flat on top.
Turns out one of the processors is only a P3-800EB though, not the end of the world as I'm thinking about ordering some Tualatin adaptors on ebay anyway.
Graphics cards bundle 😀
- Voodoo3 2000 PCI 16MB SG-RAM (210-0382-003)
- Voodoo3 2000 (?) PCI 16MB SD-RAM (210-0366-001)
- Voodoo1 Monster 3D 4MB (22150002-002)
- ELSA Erazor II – P16 (nVidia Riva TNT), 16MB, PCI
- ATI ALL-IN-WONDER RAGE 128 16MB PCI
Not tested yet. Was a bit nervous if the package even arrives. I wanted one Voodoo, seller had multiple "bundles" with different cards.
He made a mistake with the bundle I've bought, so he messaged me for a resolution. Took the chance to ask if I can get a second Voodoo (thought they were 3000). "Yeah sure ... hey I have another one. Since you seem interested in them I'll throw it in there too (that would be the Monters 3D). 😁
All in all ... wanted to buy 1 Voodoo and 2 others for about 75USD ... got 5 cards and payed around 100 USD. *biiiig smile*

Today I manage to buy (for 10 bucks) my childhood joystick that eventually stopped working, got smashed, whatever! It was almost 30 years ago.
My beloved Quickshot QS-113.
Needless to say, once I got home I went for a quick match on the best football game ever!

Have a lot of fun with this setup - I've salvaged a compaq Presario 486 once, but gave it away later 🙁
It's history now, but the compact design is still on my mind 😀

I had one of those joysticks bundled with my new clone 286/16 system.

Picked up a complete (mostly) Dell Dimension XPS R400 tower, just needs a hard drive and RAM. It has a Pentium II 400 MHz. Other than needing a good cleaning it appears to be in pretty decent shape.
And then this guy, another super 7 board to add to my rapidly growing collection.

I have one in box, with manual and so on - my friend gave it to me some time ago. I remember that he had it in the 90s and most games were barely playable with it. I had QuickShot Super Warrior at the same time and it was light years ahead of it. QS-113 was truly horrible to be honest, but I understand the nostalgia factor involved 😉

Found a second P3 1ghz for my MSI dual processor board. $20 from an old friend.
Sweet, now you gotta go dual everything, two voodoo 2s feeding a dual monitor matrox, that soundblaster with dual OPL2s, two drives in RAID 0 ...
Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

Need RAID 10 for redundancy.. then it is even more dual.

I do have a pair of 8 meg Voodoo 2's...
Eventually I'm probably going to put a couple of 512mb sd-ram modules in that machine and either a Geforce 3 or 4 with DVI.
So far all I've really done is play some of the 3d Space Cadet pinball game 🤣
SLI with 8MB Voodoo 2s tends to be underwhelming..
