I bought a V3 3000 last year that was in fact really new and it had no marks whatsoever. After like one year of use and about 6 or 7 times taking the card in and out it has very light marks. The ones on that V5 are far deeper and easier to see. This card was in use.

Also, it was supposed to be never taken out of the antistatic foil and the plastic casing. How should an even coating of dust get in there?

Are you going to use it? That card is very clean. Get down off your cross and just enjoy it. Its not like they are making more of them.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

Yeah I am. Not on any cross, just somewhat annoyed when sellers are knowingly lying!

Seriously, it's a rare card. Are you going to return it for your money back? If the price you paid was not out of line with the market, then you should just keep it and not say anything as long as it works. If you overpaid on the promise of it being new, then that would be a different situation altogether.

No, I'll keep it. The price was somewhat higher than what most people regularly bid and what I personally would have bid if I knew that it wasn't unused.

in this hobby, if you didn't unbox it yourself, it is used.

Not much to look at, but these pretty-much finish off the list of desired items hitherto unobtainable...

Go right ahead! Took me a while to track that one down. So many older versions of the card out there - hard to find the newer ones.

Oh man, Artex you must be flying above the clouds for the last few hours. I would act like a little kid that just got new toys if I had those arrive in the mail 😁

Fun stuff... Although the wife is getting a little annoyed/worried/mad? with all of these deliveries. I'm gonna have to start borrowing her closet space soon. 😁
