The thing is, I have a Thinkpad 500 without a power adapter. I noticed someone is selling the above model in my not-so-near area and was thinking of using it's power adapter to test the 500 as it's around the same age.

It seems the 500 uses quite difficult to find power supply and it looks the 700 uses different one - 20V vs 16V of 500 - even polarity looks switched as 500 uses (-) in the center 🙁

Requests are also possible... /msg kixs

Can someone please give me a hand with one STB and a couple of Trident videocards?

For the STB videocard, does anyone know any general information about it? How does it perform compared to other cards? Also, the jumper for the RAM at the top left indicates 1MB or 2MB, yet the card is stock with 8 x 256K chips which is already 2MB, and I've populated the empty bank with another 2MB. Will this work with 4MB? Also, is it ok that I used 70ns parts whereas the stock RAM is 50ns?

For the Trident 8900, what kind of RAM chips would I put in there? Also, what are the jumpers on the card for? Same for the 9000. And there's also a red jumper block on the STB on the bracket near the VGA connector. Does anyone know what it's for?

Thanks
