The countless hours are what make it rewarding for me. Spread it out over a month.
I went looking through my drawer of I/O cards and I could not find any with the UM8663BF chipset, only the UM8663AF chipset. This means that when the UM8663BF chipset broke on my MB-8433UUD, I must have used an I/O card with the AF chipset to get the floppy working again, not the BF. There is an AF on ebay right now, http://www.ebay.com/itm/UMC-UM8663AF-16-BIT-I … WUAAOSwGYVXAP0I
On the other hand, since you have now removed the whole UM8663BF chipset from the motherboards, it is possible that I/O cards with other chipsets will work, however I have never verified this. It seems like if you can disable the IDE on the I/O card with jumpers that others may work.
Plan your life wisely, you'll be dead before you know it.
