I may have the option of returning the Socket A "bundle" and getting ether of these..

My literal OCD is kicking in quite a bit with wanting to have the components for this Voodoo build "match".

I would advise against those. If you have to get a period correct motherboard/CPU combo at least go for a Pentium III processor. The Voodoo 3 scales well with faster CPUs than what was avaliable at the card's launch and going with late 1998/early 1999 parts means sacrificing performance.
The Voodoo 3 was sold well into 2000, shortages in VSA-100 chips meant you probably wouldn't get a Voodoo 5500 until summer 2000. Socket A and 1GHz Thunderbirds were avaliable within the Voodoo 3s life span. Getting a Voodoo 3 with a 650/700MHz Athlon (or a 700MHz Duron) on a KT133 mainboard and while planning to overclock or maybe upgrade later on would have been a reasonable budget decision in mid 2000. So if you're really planning on combining products that were on the market at the same time I'd advise to go for something like this because it's more performant and less expensive. 😀
