183 IS 3500 level 😀 This card IS a V3 3500. 166 is 3000 and 143 is 2000.

I know the clocks. Just not read carefully the previous post 😜 I pretty much don't like OEM cards at all. 😵
Was there any Voodoo3 with 5ns ram? All 5 of mine had 5.5 or 6ns, even the 2000.

I think Dodge Garage mentions that there were some cards released with 5ns RAM. The point to remember, though, is that the core and memory clocks are locked on these cards so just because one side can take a speed bump doesn't necessarily mean the other side will.

Got this for my Slot A machine without ISA:

Was advertised as "PCI sound card" on ebay 😁

I do have a stack of Creative and M-Audio PCI sound cards, but I'm a Yamaha fanboy and this has the advantage of being period-correct. No idea if the mainboard will be able to support it in DOS, though, but the machine's mainly for 98SE so, not a concern.

I have a Yamaha XG soundcard, or had one, in one of my older systems at home. Pretty decent little cards in 98SE, never used it with DOS though.

My first pci card had a Yamaha XG744 sounchip,i remember the card having much quieter output, then the previous isa soundcard with opti chipset, also remeber that sensaura splash screen and sound, saddly back then not many games had support for sensaura positional sound, system shock 2 was 1 of them.

Two pieces of good news, one expected, and one bad one about my Toshiba Satellite 200CDT:

Good:
Hard drive controller is good, and it has no issue reading 6GB drives
RAM module is 32MB, not 16MB

Expected:
Dead RTC battery

Bad:
Either I'm missing a piece of the caddy, or it doesn't have the same screwhole locations as most IDE laptop drives. Fortunately, for temporary purposes, the HDD is right below the battery, and as such, is not going to move around too much.

EDIT: eBay possibly to the rescue, found a slightly different caddy with the right screwholes, but still looks like it should fit. I hope it does!

Yup, it's the Sony FW900, max resolution 2304x1440, widescreen 24" of course!

If you find one on ebay, DON'T buy it or the shipping costs will bite you. It weighs 42KG!

Hahaha, Google translate - giving confidence to people for telling others they are insane gay men 🤣

I like that wide screen CRT, probably has great colors.
