Bought this 21" HP P1130 flat Trinitron monitor for 20€. Thing is, it doesn't work. Previous owner said it had a very good picture, until it suddenly shut down and never started again. I thought I'd take the gamble for 20€. Not a huge loss, if I can't repair it.
Did some testing and it tries to start, voltages go up and down a few times, and then the PSU shuts down because of overload. Found out damper diode in the horizontal deflection circuit has shorted, and as a concequence it has also broken the transistor in same circuit (also shorted). I'm hopeful that by replacing these it might come back to life.
I think this monitor is similar to Sony CPD-G520, just with HP branded casing.
