note 16: Compatible memory is SD memory card / memory stick / smart media / multimedia card. Use by inserting it into the PC card slot.
However, this is a specially designed product that only works with LaVie M, which comes with this card adapter as standard.

The structure does not include a controller chip, only a wiring board, but the notebook PC itself is equipped with a controller chip that operates the memory card, and when it recognizes the PC-VP-BS01, it connects to the PC card interface. It seems like the mechanism is to input and output the signals of each memory card on the top and access the memory card.

I have found very few information about this adapter, and the laptop actually. So i'll go the pcmicia to cf route. Thank you all for your help!
