I happened to be working on a CDROM today that had the same sort of connector that I salvaged (actually a pair of them) from a dead CDROM to use with the USB backplate years ago. The spacing and size are correct, but I had to trim and file down the plastic to make a pair of them fit on the pins.

Thanks.
There are suitable 2.0mm USB brackets. One less problem. The PS/2 mouse connection remains. The pins for this are not on a line and must be connected individually. There are 2.0mm to 2.54mm jumper cables, but only two-pin. Three of those and it should work. Not pretty but doable.

So, 2mm 2-port USB bracket arrived.
Bad picture quality as always, sorry.

I`m ordering a bunch of Jumper cables (2,54mm & 2mm) für the PS/2 connection right now.

That looks very nice, I wonder how many other motherboards use this size pin spacing? This Chaintech board is the only one I've seen. I'm reminded of the joke "That's the wonderful thing about standards - there are so many of them!"

That 2mm header looks pretty familiar to me. I remember the Original XBOX controller ports using the same header.

It`s also a variant of CD Audio plug, as already mentioned.
Wouldn't be of any use on the PS/2, 4 pins in different places.

At least here there are no individual 2mm jumper cables, always only as 2pin.
It's a bit of a mess, but I'm confident it will work.

I see the adafruit ones have, as said, two pins.
one could easily remove the pins from the plastic two pin holder and add some heatshrink sleeving or a wrap of insulating tape to each pin separately.
