Yah, I've seen them go piss yellow, dark yellow even, but this seems to have a more reddish tinge to it, which is why I was questioning it.
edit: also surprising is the LACK of apparent brittlness so far, anything I've had get near this dark, questions on hue aside, has been very crumbly, dull too, but it's shiny and flexible.

I still say it's an atypical shade though, very orangy brown.
Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.
