Anyone else here like some old beige case action from Lian Li ?

Managed to win an auction for this PC10 beauty, includes all the accessories and even the promotional materials. Will make a perfect home for my Athlon XP 2400 rebuild, have all the bits for it just needed a fitting beige case for it !

And the bonus Lian-Li Razzle Dazzle brochure

Might seem odd but that brochure might make for a cool wall poster.

Edit - Just realised that I got this lovely case from the same seller Luckbob got his Pentium Pro haul from recently .. was watching the parts myself, if I had the cash bob would have had some competition for them 😜

Quick second post ...Just scored a second Compaq Armada 1750 for my collection, depending on what parts it has it might become a spares machine for the one I have already, it does come with all the Compaq accessories including the original travel bag and PCMCIA ethernet card.

this was not a verry good day , ordered the cpu's and after charge-ing the ipod Touch 1G , battery swollen-up..I put it in the freezer hope the swelling goes down... I am not a fan of dismantling i-stuff just for a battery I can't afford.

If it had said on the outside it is a memory module, I would have just set it aside and paid no further attention to it, and the battery could have kept leaking.

Luckily, there was not much damage done yet.

Very easy card to repair too, not overly complex and worth fixing.

I bought this little Pocket-PC Palm Visor 1 translucent blue & white.

Picked up this locally assembled 386 SX from an older gentleman. He said some of the ICs on the motherboard are manufactured by Nokia, but I have yet to open it. Those were the times when everything wasn't imported from East-Asia.

The plastic parts need a bit attention and the battery wants to be replaced. Although I've got to admit I have no idea how to restore this machine, but live and learn I guess. And all tips are welcome of course as usual.

What is the exact model spec(name/code) on that monitor back there ?
(to easier find it on fleabay)

And, is it IPS or TN or.... ?
What 'size' and standard resolution ?

I have no idea, sorry, bought it from aliexpress years ago. It's full hd and small, something like 7" and intended for monitoring film shoot on the set I think, but it works well configuring and testing computers as well. Try searching for camera field monitor on google if you want to buy something similar.

I did it again and rescued another CRT. A Philips Brilliance 202P with 22" tube (360 MHz, 130 kHz, 160 Hz, 0.24 mm). Not sure where I'll store it, so it's still in my car 😁

AT cases of any sort are pretty rare round my way and I thought this one might have some potential. Wasn't too worried about the internals but maybe I might luck out and find a gem or two?

A soundcard that's too cheap for me to identify
Some kind of USB card (assuming 1.1 even though the mobo has USB headers)
No video card so I'm assuming it was worth more separately
4GB WD HD
Generic 16x CD-ROM
and a 3.5" floppy missing its faceplate

The motherboard isn't too bad and I didn't have a non-MMX P200, so that's alright. The RTC chip is socketed which is nice. And the case is exactly as authentically cheap and flimsy as it looks.

It's crap, but now it's my crap. 🤓

The soundcard looks like an ES1868 which is a respectable Pro compatible card.

Today I got this from a friend:
-ASUS DRW-1608P3S 16x X Multi DVD-RW Drive
-a ATX MiniTower PC Case like in those pictures (but in reality in a very good condition, and without GPU and motherboard, only case) + a floppy drive and a optical drive (not the one pictured in the photo)

Any opinions?

That case is amazing.. It begs to be turned into a Y2K Athlon build! Not everyone digs that aesthetic but presonally I love teal/trans-teal accents on beige ATX cases.

Yes. I plan to put a MATSONIC MS8137C+ Amd Athlon XP 1700+ build in it if I want.

Maybe some hollow space IN the sofa. Even if the manual says it's the shortest 22" flatscreen in the world with a depth of only 47.6 cm/18.7", that cube is slightly too big to fit under my sofa 😀

It's supposed to be capable of showing 1920x1440 @ 85Hz. That's better than many monitors today.

You could put some logs under your sofa's feet.
As a side effect you would gain space for some more CRTs (depending of the width by depth measures of your sofa of course).

This technique could also be deployed to other furniture, such as beds, chairs, etc. Your imagination is your friend.
