Diamond speedstar 1MB VGA Tseng Labs.. Nice one for my 386 build!

I have a chance to buy a ET4000 based card .
Orchid pro designer 2 , do you think it worth it? I don't know much about the chipset orther than it is superior to some Trident or Cirrus Logic.

The cirrus logic 5434 or ATI mach 64 are better cards because they have windows acceleration, if I were you I'd buy this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1-NOS-SIIG-VD1738- … =item35c3dd7489 and assume its a 5434, its nice getting a box full of goodies(postage is high outside the USA).

Please make pics smaller.

Can we have some kind of moderation rule on this? Maximum allowed resolution when embedding images into a thread?

Jumped on the Labway A151-A00 (Yamaha YMF719E-S) bandwagon a while back:

A couple of these so I can start playing with 2.5" drives in my retro machines (still waiting on the IDE-to-SATA adapters to make this work):

I don't know what I'll do with this, but I couldn't pass it up (Dell Dimension P75t). This thing could probably take a bullet. Dell still has incredibly detailed documentation on their site ( http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/DTA/dptxxmdt/ ). Pentium 75, 500MB hard drive, 32MB of RAM, 1MB Trio64 with a weird riser card. I was hoping to replace the power supply (smells funny) but it's an early ATX system with Dell's proprietary crap:

The Dell also had this inside; Creative Vibra 16S CT2800 (has YMF262-M chip). I'll do some comparison recordings of it later:

Original Intel SE440BX board with incredibly shitty onboard audio; forgot to take a pic before I threw it in a case:

Not really a "today" buy, here is an album with what I've been gathering since I decided to rebuild two 486s last year.

Lots of it not 486 of course, but well, once you start ...
Now i'll do the topics for the 486s in marvin.

Bought this a month ago:

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8229/8447739485 … 8df2f7083_z.jpg

trying to build the 386/16, but till now, the keyboard isn't responding wenn the "hit del to enter cmos" is on screen. A few minutes later, it goes on and a "FDD Controller failure" message appears, asking to press F1 to resume. Offcourse, F1 isn't responding...
A few times, I was able to get in the CMOS and one time it even tried to boot from the 5.25.

You can "upload" to Imgur from the link, then use their system to post thumbnails (they even give the BBcode for you). 😉

What service do you using? I never have seen that it would possible to reupload existing urls to host.

Got my second V5 5500 AGP through the post this morning (after getting rid of my last one), and i've also snagged a 12MB Procomp Voodoo 2 off ebay (this model has the memory clocked at 110MHz 😀).

This is just a stock photo of what the Procomp G111 looks like... Notice this model has a single heatsink (i find this a bit weird).

Are you sure the memory is really clocked at that speed and not just rated for it? I don't think seperate clocks were possible on any Voodoo, and I somehow doubt a V2 will do 110MHz.

Well, the seller wrote that he bought the card as a spare back in the day, but never wound up using it. I guess I'll easily see by the AGP slot if it was used or not 😀

And of course it's NOT new! 😀 easy to tell by marks on the AGP slot+some slight dust. Guess now it's the seller's choice if he'll make a partial refund or is ok with negative feedback (100% positive so far). He f*cked with the wrong buyer I guess 🤣
