Got me some stuff today.... The seller said that he had two extra mobo's besides the two P2B-S and P2B-DS that I bought.
And what a treat he gave me. Loads of hardware. I have not even opened all of the cases at this point.
What I do know, is that the AT-Case contains a complete Pentium-1 computer with a Creative ISA and a S3-Pci card.
I took a little peek inside it, and the multiplier is set to x2.5 so this might be a P-75. All the mem-slots are filled.
The P5A is a rev. 1.03 This is just too much to have a complete overview on at this point, so I will just show some pic's
The worst part of all this, is that I have to clean all up. It's not that dirty. Just really dusty.....

I gave 400 Danish Kroners for all this. What a steal.... (60 to 61 US Dollars)

Thanks....
Unfortunately, the two P3-550 cpu's are dead as a cold fish.
In one of the cases, I found what looks like an Intel referance slot1 440bx board.
None of the P3's will boot on the dual cpu board, and both of the single cpu boards.
Does not matter, as I got two P2-350 mhz CPU's in this haul.
Else... Well... Got a GF2-GTS with video-in and a i740 also with video-in.
Two Asus boards (A7V266 and A7V266-E) Most of the boards will post, only
the P2B-DS have not posted yet. As I have only tested with the two P3-550's.

EDIT
The Intel board, is the "Intel se440bx2v" board. It has this cool looking Chipset
heatsink attached to it.

I really need to get rid of some of the hardware that I now have.
So I will build one or two retro-rigs at put them for sale online somewhere.
I got so much for so little money. Now is the time to give something back.
Firstly. I need to clean it all, and test it. And then build a couple of rigs.

Well, you won't have a shortage of SCSI controllers anytime soon 🤣

Just kidding - congrats!

True that!! 🤣
Two of them are Adaptec 1542c ISA controllers, with floppy onboard.

P-75 uses 50MHz x1.5.
x2.5 hints to 166MHz.
Or did you want to write x1.5? That could also mean P-90 or P-100. On some CPUs (eg. PMMX) it is remapped to x3.5 (233MHz or 350MHz).

Just had a better look at it. It's an P-166.
Don't know why I wanted the fsb to be 33.

Lots of retro goodies picked up recently, several motherboards including a dual SLot 1 N440BX motherboard rocking 2 PII-233 processors and also a Pentium 233MMX chip and board as well as a big box of ISA and PCI cards dating from the early 90s to the late 90s.

Best pickup completed this weekend was 5 NOS Vintage AT PC Cases, still in their shipping boxes and as white as the day they were made 😀

My daughter Ruby was helping me build some systems with them!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I've been a long time lurker and have collected consoles and computers for many years and have only recently started on collecting pc hardware again. 😀 Going to be building a 486 system soon and possibly selling off some of these cases to make some space, apparently they were found in a shutdown computer shop about to be demolished!

Woah, you're already teaching your daughter the joys of retro-computing? Congratz!

Btw, nice cases. I specially liked the desktop and the taller tower. God... I've been on a "drool over AT cases" mood recently. Wish I could find nice NOS AT cases ^^

Cheers bud, we have many consoles and an arcade machine in the house so its not difficult to get her interested! 😀 That desktop case is great, small and even has a turbo switch! It will be the final home for the 486 😀 I'll keep you in mind if I sell the taller case!

She looks so happy. Reminds me of my own daughter. Though my son is more into this, only if it involves a red sportscar (gaming).
Anyway... They are more into cooking, wich is great, as cooking is my second hobby.

Ugh... God I hope I never have children. Luckily, the odds of me having them aren't very good.

Anyway, I bought a video card. Every time I think I have repaired my Ti 4600 something else stops working and last time it took the Windows installation with it, today it went out again and my patience has run out. I may still fix it but it has missed the boat for this system. I was instead presented with a choice between a Quadro4 980 XGL and a Quadro4 900 XGL...

1.jpg

I chose the latter as my motherboard only has a 4x AGP slot and the rest of the specs are pretty much identical for both cards. Plus they are overkill for what I am trying to do, though it won't be as fast as my Ti despite being the same chipset - the Ti was factory overclocked. For what time the Ti was working the system was great to work with though, it was stable and had that snappy, responsive mannerism that only an Athlon can give. I then got bored and turned off the frame rate limiter in GTA, the car scales the whole length of the map in less than a second. Should be good for my old applications too then.
