Been a bit busy, looking for stuff. And I have found something interresting.

An old partially defect I/O-ISA-controller, it is missing the Serial port, so I bought it and a pack of male 9-pin serial connectors.
This card spoke to me. I swear that I heard it scream "Fix me, please". 🤣 Well... Going to see if I can fix it then. 😁
Then I bought an I/O shield for one of my ATX boards. Missing one, and found one on sale. Not much, just enough to keep me busy.

I've never bought off Craigslist before, but the other day I saw a guy selling some new in box 17" CRT monitors for $5 each. His photo had one of the monitors sitting on top of an old AT case, so I emailed him to find out if he had any old computers he wanted to get rid of, and he did. So went over to his place (like an hour drive), and got all of this for $50. He had a huge garage full of new in box CRT monitors, mostly 15". Upstairs in his garage there was hardware lying around everywhere. Apparently he did a lot of programming with capacitive CRT touch screens and gave me a few of his open ones. I believe the boxed monitors are just regular CRT's but I can't seem to find any info online about them.

Four working computers and one case with just a motherboard and PSU.
Top is the P3-450. Left to right is the case with mobo, 486dx/33, P133, and K6-2/300. Specs for these are at the end of the post.
3YtBHS9.jpg

He kept telling me "you can watch tv on this one!" and I didn't really pay attention, but the 486 has some sort of ISA tv tuner card labeled Packard Bell TV300. It has a cable that connects it directly to the video card. I booted the PC up and launched the TV software and it played the white noise static sound. Will look into testing this later.

I asked him if he had any spare cards he didn't want, and he thought I was only talking about video cards so gave me these:
Oak Technology, Inc. OTIVGA EGA/VGA ISA
nVidia Geforce 2 GTS 32mb AGP
Intergraph Reactor/Intense 3D 100 PCI
Voodoo 3 2000 16MB PCI
Rage IIc AGP

Then the monitors. The two up front on the bed are touch screen, the one in the back is a regular 17". I haven't opened the boxed ones yet to see how they look:

Cool haul you pulled there. Lots of nice AT cases, wich will suit you great. The AT case, number 3 from left. I have one of those.
It has 3-Digit led for MhZ indecation, and can house an ATX PSU in case you want to go the ATX to AT power converter.

Other than that. Nice stuff you got.

The case at the top is the Inwin H500. I really like the style and build quality, but it has one flaw...the top lid is a real b@#^h to slide off.

I see that beigemore has picked up more beige. 😵

But yeah, very nice pickups, especially those video cards, and, of course, lots of AT cases to play with!

As I promised.... A picture of the ET-4000 that I have bought. Actually not a bad looking piece of hardware, and in good shape.

Funny, I stopped by my local university's surplus store, and they had this exact card there for a $0.25 😎 I was going to post a photo, but I'll just use yours!

Sadly.... Schools in Denmark are not alowed to sell off old used hardware, not even alowed to give it away.
And the worst part of it all. They can not give an explenation on to why they are not alowed to do so.

Got my first AWE32 today! I know it's not the best there is (CT3990, so no true OPL3), but it cost me less than one buck.

Bundled with it were a an Asus videocard with a Riva TNT2 card (sadly, only 16 megs of RAM). I don't plan to build an AGP-capable build any time soon anyways, got it just because it was also less than a buck.

Finally, got myself a second "Parallel tasking" 3Com LAN card. Would it really make any sense to put two of those in my Socket 7 build?

If that's the V3800 card you got, all I can find online on a quick search.
Is that it is an TNT2-Ultra and should have 32mb ram.

It's called AGP-V3800/16MB/PUR on the PCB.

Well.... Most of the sites, are reporting as an Ultra, though a small number are reporting the 16mb model as a Pro.
Eighter way, Ultra or Pro are good TNT2's.

Finally bought a CM32L, on the basis they aren't getting any cheaper, and it's fully boxed with manual.. Winced somewhat before pressing the buy button.

Now to wait for it and find which ROM version it is..

All in all, last week or so was pretty fruitful for me. Apart from CT3990 I also got a really good looking IntelliMouse 1.1a:

And also something called Joyswitch:

Joyswitch is basically a switch for 4 Gameport joysticks (duh!). I do have three DOS joysticks already (a Quickshot QS-201, a Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro and Gravis Phoenix), but I definitely don't have any room on my table to have them at the same time. So, not really useful, but it came boxed and in mint condition and cost me 15 cents (Intellimouse was 77 cents from the same seller). And it has awesome build quality and feel: nice metal case and clicky switches!

Also a couple of free cards:

- 3COM 3C905-TX (also have a similar 3C905B-TX and a 3C905C-TXM — guess you can't have too many 3COM);
- an unidentified ISA LAN network with RJ-45 as well as BNC in case I ever want to try LAN networking on my 486 machine:

- also a "Yamaha-LSI Audio Wave" sound card:

Couldn't find much info on it. It has an YMF-718S chip, a wavetable header and two sets of CD drive pins. So I guess it's an OPL4 card?.. Is that good for anything besides OPL3 games?

So, probably my next goal is finding a horizontal AT case to build a Pentium 60 machine using my recently acquired Intel Batman motherboard. Gonna need a COM mouse for that, too — it doesn't seem to have any pins for PS/2:
